Senta Simond Blue Hour, Book Launch
Rose Bakery - Dover Street Market Paris
Wednesday, October 1st
7:30PM - 9:30PM
35-37 Rue des Francs Bourgeois, 75004 Paris, France
Please join us tomorrow at Dover Street Market Paris for the release of Blue Hour by Senta Simond, published by MÖREL.
Blue Hour explores the intimacy of human connection, focusing on the emotional landscape of masculinity. Moving between public imagery and private moments, the book shifts from broadcasted shots of underwear models to the intimate gestures usually kept lover to lover.
At its center is Leon, Simond’s boyfriend and muse, who embodies the warmth and emotional closeness of a partner. Through vignettes of roads, cars, and paint-streaked jeans, masculinity becomes human, soft and tender - something to be admired with intimacy rather than distance. By revealing these moments of vulnerability, Senta Simond challenges the rigid, stoic representations of men in visual culture.
