British photographer & director Steve Harries elevates his subjects through craft and precision. Known for his meticulous eye and attention to detail, his practice moves between still life, objects, spaces, and portraiture, driven by a sustained interest in how environments are constructed and experienced through image. Drawing on cinema, painting, music, and sculpture, he applies a precise visual language across subjects, moving fluidly between still life, luxury and portrait work.

His monograph Octopus, a study of mountain landscapes and glaciers, was shortlisted for the Aperture Photo Book Awards in 2023, while Studio Botanical reworks the botanical field journal to explore the strange, atmospheric qualities of natural forms.
