Austrian-born, London-based stylist Nell Kalonji approaches her work through collaboration and character-building, shaped by a background in costume design. Exploring the relationship between subject, image and narrative, her practice creates emotionally resonant visual worlds that foreground individuality and presence. Grounded in a sensitivity to storytelling, her distinctive language balances elegance with authenticity, informed by a nuanced understanding of identity and representation, which extends beyond her styling practice to her role as co-founder of the Rubric Initiative, an educational platform supporting historically marginalised communities within the fashion industry.

Kalonji’s editorial and commercial work include collaborations with AnOther, Double, More or Less and Self Service, alongside clients such as Louis Vuitton, Lululemon, Off-White, Schiaparelli and Supreme. She has worked closely with photographers including Yorgos Lanthimos, Jack Davison and Gabriel Moses, as well as talent such as Michaela Coel, Erin Doherty and Sophie Wilde.
