Observation is an ongoing theme in Laura Jane Coulson’s practice; from the nuances of gesture which reveal an individual’s personality, to the elusive and intimate quality of modern beauty, as seen through her lens. Coulson intuitively connects with her subjects resulting in a dynamic and sensory quality to her work. The British photographer and filmmaker is fascinated with colour and texture, immersing within environments, capturing the fleeting moments at which point these factors converge.
