Jeano was born and raised in Jamaica, and after moving to the USA aged 16, he began his path into image-making. He studied an MA in Design at Goldsmiths, University of London, which gave rise to his emphasis on process and context, and is now based between Paris and New York.
His projects are a space for both cultural exchange and introspection, driven by a profound curiosity that stems from his own journey through, and around, the world.
Edwards’s long-term documentation of his home country culminated in his 2021 self-published photo book, EverWonderful, which was shortlisted for the Paris Photo-Aperture Photobook Awards that year. His photographs made in the Dominican Republic were chosen for the In Focus display at the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize in 2022. His conscientious approach carries through to his client work, including a collaborations with with fashion designer Grace Wales Bonner, Apple, iD Magazine, Adidas, Sixteen Journal and others.
