Chris Rhodes is a British photographer whose practice is shaped by travel and a distinctive way of looking. Working with quiet precision, he brings a sense of refinement to everyday environments, drawn to overlooked details, singular characters, and textured, imperfect surfaces. His images engage with the irregularities of a scene, treating them as central rather than incidental. Rhodes’ photobooks Hotel Mermaid Club (RVB Books, 2022), Murals (Anest Collective/noisé, 2025) and Astoria (self-published, 2025) build cumulative studies of place, where observation gradually resolves into layered compositions that retain a sensitivity to negative space.

He moves between fashion and personal work with ease, maintaining a consistent visual language grounded in the poetics of the quotidian. He has worked with clients including Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Jil Sander, Prada, Self Service, Supreme, The Row, W Magazine. As well as solo shows at Webber Gallery in London and Los Angeles, Rhodes has exhibited internationally, including at Fondazione Sozzani, Milan; Paris Photo; Anest Collective Boutique, Shanghai; and The Plug, Tokyo.
