Thomas Brown | Bompas & Parr for It's Nice That

It’s Nice That asked Thomas to shoot a series of abstract interpretations of London through items collected by chefs Bompas & Parr.

“London’s smells represent an invisible architecture; they shape and enhance our experience of the city’s environment. Specific odours act as sensory landmarks, orienting our lives and provoking emotional responses.”

Jelly Monger’s Bompass & Parr spent a cold night in January collecting odours from underneath Waterloo Bridge and Billingsgate Fish Market, to name a few. They sent the stenches and the ingredients list for Lyndsay Milne McLoed and Thomas to interpret in these strange and beautiful still lifes.
